Johnston Street Fiesta, 18-19 November 2018

The Jonson Street Fiesta is one of Melbourne’s largest and most successful festivals is a MUST for the diary! This two-day festival started in 1978 to commemorate 1000 years of the Spanish language and in its 39^th year running, it’s easy to see why thousands of visitors flock to Johnston Street every year.

A celebration of Hispanic and Latin American culture, this festival is hands down one of the best street parties in Melbourne. The streets are blocked off and you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’re a spectator at Carnaval in Rio! You will be captivated by high energy atmosphere and be entertained by live Latin bands and performances by local dance schools and community groups. You can get up and shake it too and join in one of the many outdoor dance classes on offer.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite with all that salsa dancing, you’ll be spoiled for choice with the selection of mouthwatering food on offer. Did someone say chocolate covered churros? Yes please!
